Geo-Adventure 2008 "Blogged"

Feb 12, 08 - Plans are well in place for this years' Geo-Adventure. 14 people will visit Greenland for 3 weeks of intense exploration and mineral hunting. Over the past several years I've tried various ways to keep people informed of current news, talk about equipment and provisions, provide an insight into what they might expect; email lists, discussion boards, etc. Perhaps a "blog" would be a neat way to accomplish this - we'll see.... And perhaps other folks will post here also - a place to document their adventure and allow others to see and feel what they went through, planning for the trip, getting there, and even each day's adventure.

Reservations

It's not easy getting to Greenland. There are two major airports in the country; one way up north and Narsarsuaq in Southern Greenland. Air Iceland offers two flights a week into Narsarquaq and they fill up quickly. So - reservations for the group are complete - it may seem early for travel in July, but if you wait much longer you may not get a seat. We'll have two tours this year

Now it's time to think about gear, lamps, food, tents, and all that stuff needed for a sucessful trip.
